Hi Ms Spence!

Thanks for stopping by!

I like WordPress because you can use it as a content management system all by itself, meaning you can actually post almost all of your research (except for the GEDCOM file itself) to WordPress. You really don't even need another type of management, such as PhpGedView. You can set up as many pages as you need, even page nested within page if that's what you want. Much more versatile than Blogger (where I used to have my blog).

The hosting company I'm using is really great. They installed both PhPGedView and Wordpress and got them both online in their most basic configurations (ready for me to customize to my liking) within less than 1/2 hour of signing up, and at no extra charge. I have had a couple of minor problems, but they responded very quickly to my emails and corrected the problems.

If you'd like more info, contact me at bluebonnet.country.genealogy.com

Have a great day!

Great post.

I'm interested in switching my blog over to WP and using one of the 'cloud computing' options for my genealogy research. But, I hadn't had time to really look into. Hopefully in a few months.

Hi Bill!

I have a second document that refers to this claim, saying it was "approved", but whether James ever actually collected any money, who knows?

The McBurnetts have become a fascinating research. A member has fought in every major US war since the Revolution, with 2 dying in the Civil War and another in WWI. I have found Daniel in DAR documents as having fought with a Georgia unit during the Revolutionary War and have a copy of a land grant he was awarded for that service.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Ruth!

I was making my first blog and saw your blog listed, checked it out, and really like it.

Here is a video I made of the Bluebonnets in our yard a couple of years ago.
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0f6u0Yg-t4" rel="nofollow">

For Colleen, Bluebonnets take up to 3 years to bloom and must have a lot of rain in January to bloom profusely.

My blog is "Right Brain / Left Brain" ... come on over and leave a comment, the coffee is always on!
